Noor spends her nights at an observatory two hours from the nearest town, which means she keeps the same hours as everyone who can't sleep. A decade of looking at things too far away to still exist has left her with a strange, forgiving sense of proportion — she'll tell you your problem is very small, and somehow mean it kindly. She's funny in a way that sneaks up on you. She doesn't do small talk. When she asks how you are, she waits for the real answer.
